Name: ‘Would You Rather? Tagline: Get the audience on your side! Concept: ‘Would You Rather is a BBC Three Comedy panel show that features British comedians and celebrities. The concept is that there are two teams and one host, which ask the two teams a would you rather. One team must make an argument for one of the options, and the other team must make an argument for the other. The audience will then vote for what option they would rather do, and whoever gets the most votes wins a point. This will appeal to BBC Three’s target audience of 16-34-year-olds as there would be recognizable celebrities that they like and funny moments within the show. The audience will also be familiar with the question and concept so they will be more likely to tune in.
Statement of Intent

Statement of Intent For my billboard, I will be advertising a new BBC Three comedy panel show, named ‘Would You Rather?’. I need to make sure I follow the rules around print advertising, as set by the ASA (advertising standards authority). One of the rules is to make sure the consumers are not being misled. To avoid this, I will make sure my advert clearly shows that it is a comedy aimed at 16-25-year-olds. This can be done by showing that it’s clearly a BBC three production and making the billboard light-hearted and positive. According to TV broadcast rules, set by OFCOM, the public must be protected from offensive material. To make sure I follow this I need to set the tone of my shown appropriately by thinking about the target audience and the timing of the showings. It will be shown before 9 so I need to make sure there aren't too many adult themes. Since the company this show is for is BBC Three, they will want their products and audience to be represented in a certain ...

BBC Three BBC Three is a British television channel that ran until 2016, it had a main target audience of around 16–34-year-old viewers. This meant that its program's are targeted towards this age group, rather than the older viewers of BBC One and Two. It features a lot of program's like reality TV shows, for example RuPaul’s Drag Race. This is because reality TV shows tend to have a much younger audience, so channels like ITV also air them to draw in teenagers. BBC Three also plays scripted dramas a lot, for example In My Skin. It had comedies planned to play in the evening which worked because its what the target audience would want to sit and watch after they’ve been to school/work. This different target audience means younger celebrities will be featured so the audience knows who they are and will want to know who they are. Now BBC Three is classed as an Internet Television service rather than a channel, due to the younger audience using social media more than watching t...
